President Donald Trump has addressed questions about his pardon of Changpeng Zhao during a 60 minute interview on the 2nd of November.
He stated that he did not know Zhao personally and said that the decision was not based on any political motive.
President Trump explained that he had heard that Zhao’s legal case was politically driven.

When asked directly if he had had a relationship with Zhao, President Trump said he had never met her and had only learned about the situation from others.
CBS anchor Norah O’Donnell reported reports that Binance

When pressed further, President Trump he moved the discussion to his family’s interest in the crypto industry. He noted that his children are active in the industry, which he supports, but he said that they operate as private entrepreneurs, not government officials.

President Trump also said that the crypto industry of the United States has grown and is important for the future of the country. He emphasized that the United States should be a leader in crypto development, especially as countries like China increase their participation.
