Former News12 Anchor Claims Company Gaslit and Bullied Her After Pay Raise Request

Former News 12 anchor Annalisa Klebers she filed a claim with the American Arbitration Association saying the company retaliated against her after she asked for a raise.

In the complaint, Klebers, who anchored the morning news for Altice USA stations in Connecticut and New Jersey, said her alleged mistreatment came after she asked for a new contract with better pay.

“What management did to me changed my life forever. I almost lost my life. My children came close to almost losing their mother,” he told the Post. “I felt like my whole world had caved in.”

Klebers started working there in April 2018.

“There were days when I would work from 4:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. trying to complete all the additional work that was piled on me. I was trying to make management happy and keep my job all while my contract and salary increase salary were kept above my head”, Kleber. he told Dailymail.com.

“There were disparaging comments made, managers lashing out at me and criticizing things about my performance that didn’t make sense,” he said. “They also ignored or abandoned my positive contributions to the shows. It felt like the management wanted me to leave or react badly to everything they did to me.”

When he resigned, he said Altice refused to accept his resignation, saying it was necessary to investigate his complaint.

“It all sent me into a spiral,” he said. “It was too much.”

“On Friday, May 13, 2022, I became very ill,” Klebers said. “I had a psychotic break. I was suicidal. All this happened in front of my husband and children and even my sister.”

She spent six days in the psych ward on suicide watch and was later fired from Altice while on disability.

“His career has been completely derailed, to the point where he doesn’t see any way back to an anchor desk, not at News12 or any media, any newsroom anywhere,” his lawyer said. , Anthony Mango. “This was done by her just doing it in good faith, raising an issue for equal pay. “It really turned her off.”

Klebers wants the American Arbitration Association to award her the income she would have made as it was.
