Last week, WordPress declared “Jubilee” and unblocked all the members of the community previously blocked. The official WordPress X account (earlier Twitter) has announced a reminder that unblocking is still ongoing.
According to the latest post::
“We delete all the previous human blocks to create an open and cooperative environment. While the community guidelines and directors remain, we believe that all the old blocks of the Beetle are on the way out.”
A similar post on the official website WordPress echoed the post on x:
“As I said, we reject all the human blocks. Community guidelines, directories guidelines and such will need to be followed forward, but everything they were before, they were cleaned. It may take several days, but any previously existing blocks are considered to be improved.”
WordPress seems to use the word anniversary in terms of the Jewish and Bible tradition of the year of forgiveness.
The part of “discharging all human blocks” is similar to the Jewish anniversary in terms of forgiveness.
Moving forward, all already existing blocks will be considered “mistakes” to repair, and all who are unblocked and those who are never blocked will continue to be subject to prohibited if they do not manage to comply with the WordPress community.
