As an industry, we place greater emphasis on fact-checking, cross-referencing sources, and providing context to our audience, which is incredibly important as we rebuild trust with consumers. One of our mantras is that trust must be earned and if you know how it is done, you can trust what he says.
2. Our resolution to viewers in 2025 is that we will be committed to providing real journalism made by real journalists. Our strength is our many journalists, who report from everywhere, talk to everyone and have deep experience in the fields they report. That tremendous teamwork by extraordinary and committed journalists is what enables us to pursue the truth without an agenda and cover breaking news as well as uncover investigative reporting with impartiality, accuracy and transparency, day in and day out, 24/7 and in the world.

1. 2024 showed us the challenges and opportunities we face. I like to focus on opportunities. I am optimistic about the strong momentum we have with the CBS News 24/7 streaming network, and the opportunity to grow our audience by expanding the number of live hours we offer each day and ensuring that the best of CBS News show also streaming. .
2025 will bring extremely important events – and there will be many moments to reimagine and experiment with how we bring valuable information to our viewers on platforms. I am optimistic that we will continue to present – even when it is difficult – to fulfill our responsibility to the viewers. In a time of huge changes, there is one constant – being in the media is never boring!

We’ll take what’s happening in the world, report on it, and take the time to help the audience understand the news by providing the context it deserves. As a network that provides broadcasting, as well as a streaming news channel, to the public for free, we are responsible for many things. We have to report the news and help people understand the why behind that news.
