Apple TV Plus will be free to stream this weekend from January 4-5. The company posted the news on social media alongside a short trailer featuring some of its main shows, with the tagline “see for yourself.” Apple had teased last week which could provide some days of free streaming, which the company did not offer before.
Apple doesn’t provide any more detail than that in its teaser post, which doesn’t say whether the promotional period includes the entire Apple TV Plus library or just Apple Originals content. We reached out for more details, but did not hear back before publication.
Apple’s deal is reminiscent of HBO’s free weekend deals on cable TV. Streaming services like Netflix also offer it limited free streaming on some of its top content.
