It seems that supporting super-served entrepreneurs in Europe is suddenly in fashion. Back in March, “Project of Europe“Bio launched to the great Fanfara Podcaster and VC Harry Stebbings with a small $ 10 million fund to return the founder at the age of only 25 years, riffs on the old ‘Peter Thiel Fellowship’. Now the new fund hopes to get better – but this time with $ 68 million.
Prison (Shorthand for “Entrepreneurship without risk”) has launched its own ‘founding scholarship’, committing EUR 60 million, which will offer selected founders 500,000 euros in 7% of the share (compared, Project Europe offers at 200,000 euros for 6.66% of the share). He claims that on average, Alumni raised 1 million euros to 11 million euros during fellowship.
The money will go to 35 entrepreneurs who fit into the mold of “visionaries, technical products, deep -guided operators and serial entrepreneurs a year.”
Scholarships will receive the support of the virtual first, with a mentoring 1: 1 (including 1 to 5 hours a week with the ‘unicorn founder’), an approach to 2,000 mentors, VC and subject experts. In contrast, the project of Europe offers its own founder of the founder of 128 supports.
Founded in 2021, EWOR was constantly working six entrepreneurs who had previously been in companies such as Sumup, Assunting, Progloves and United-Domeins: Daniel Dippold, Alexander Grots, Florian Huber, Petter Made, Quinten Selhorst and Paul Müller.
In a call with Techcrunch, Dippold compared EWR scholarship with a project of Europe. While the latter trumpeted entrepreneurs with “just the idea”, he said that Ewor would easily reconcile with this offer: “We do two communities, ideas and pulls. You can literally or want what we had a year ago with the youngest machine learning researcher from Cambridge-Nada Co-patron, without any term. You can start at first.
As part of an investment of 500,000 euros, this includes EUR 110,000 from the EWR GMBH and an additional 390,000 euros from the investment fund through an unprecedented convertible notes or a similar instrument.
One example of a previously supported startup includes Aspect healthThe startup, which was built in Moldova, collected funding in the Silicon Valley and New York and ended with $ 50 million.
Dippold said: “We have 50,000 applicants in a vector database that understands any intricate detail about Github.
“We do evil like a software company, build a measure, learn, build a measure, learn, learn, build a measure, learn … The only thing that matters is that it has to be the most useful thing that every founder can do,” he added.
Ten founders have been accepted so far in this year’s group.
Include Mark Golab based in the UK, pioneer for 3D printing, applying technology to organs transplantation with Cambridge surgical modelsAfter surviving for a life of a dangerous infection. And Vienna based in Viktoria Iddebezka, which works on a generation of lead with Sale.
Previous EWOR guys include Ricky Knox, who scored two outputs in 9 digits Azimo and Tandem bank; and a team of seithe, who led Lower part to the exit of the trunk to almost 100 million euros.
EWOR’s associate Jörgen Tveit, founder of Thaleron, added in the statement: “EWOR founders are deeply technically and understanding the challenges of building a technological company changing in the world.”
