Here’s How to Watch New Year’s Eve Programming on the News Networks

New Year’s festivities are typically the climax of the holiday season, and after a 2024 event, the major news networks have big plans for 2025.

Here’s your guide to all New Year’s programming on December 31st and January 1st (all Eastern Time)

ABC News

• ABC will broadcast Dick ClarkRockin’ New Year’s Eve with Ryan Seacrest from Times Square starting at 8 pm ET.
• On January 1, Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts hosts The Year: 2024 at 9 p.m. The two-hour special will revisit the most memorable moments of the past year, from historic events to social trends.

CNN

• Once again, Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen they’re leading secure New Year’s coverage from Times Square starting at 8 p.m. But CNN’s New Year’s coverage will actually begin at 7 a.m. with live reports from various international cities as the clock strikes midnight in their time zones respective.
• The networking celebration will conclude with Sarah Sidner, Harry Entenand Find the samples resume at 12:30 am from Auditorium Shores in Austin, TX.

Fox News

• Fox News’ prime-time coverage begins at 8 p.m. on Dec. 31 with Who Can Forget 2024, featuring special guests from the network discussing the year’s memorable moments. That leads into A New Year with Kat & Tyrus at 9 p.m. with Fox News contributors Pneumatic and Kat Timpf looking back at the year that was.
