In Lenco CES 2025 demo room, the nearly 80-year-old brand demonstrated its excellence in the vibration department by playing a The best of Earth, wind and fire vinyl on their recently announced Lenco LBT-215BK turntable.
Combining modern styling with a gorgeous piano black finish and silver detailing makes this one of the best looking turntables you can get for its £299 available price – US buyers won’t get the LBT-215BK until April at a cost of $359. And gosh, Americans are missing a lot until then.
The LBT-215BK is a mid-level turntable that supports playback speeds of 33 and 45 RPM, it is equipped with an Audio-Technica AT-VM95E Moving Magnetic Cartridge. Playback was smooth and rich while pumping out Reasons through some speakers from Kanto behind.
All those musical guts were warm as the song about a night night (ironically also considered a wedding classic) had a lot of background thanks to the stereo pre-amp integrated in the LBT-215BK.
There’s a metal plate, arm and fully adjustable counterweight, all of which help it feel like it punches well above its weight. The unit I heard also played with Lenco’s new TTA-080SI record stabilizer, which serves double duty as a stabilizer to keep records playing flat, as well as an LED disco ball — for $49 extra
Audio connection options include wired Bluetooth or RCA output, making this pleasantly versatile. And as a bonus, those who want to convert audio to a digital format can also use the USB connection.
As someone with a background in the music business, this is a great tool for more sample-based producers to enjoy in their crate-digging sessions. Using Bluetooth 5.2 means that users who just want a simple, cable-free experience can do so with the the best bluetooth speakers o the best wireless headphones.
The turntable also has an anti-skating function, which promises to protect your records. Anyone looking for a turntable that looks chic, offers wireless and wired connectivity, and allows for easy analog-to-digital conversion will find this a very tempting entry-level deck for budding audiophiles at the sub-$ mark 400. may have a lot to appreciate.
