Strands is the latest NYT word game after the likes WordleSpelling Bee and Connections – and it’s a lot of fun. It can be tricky, though, so read on for my Strands suggestions.

The answers to today’s Strands, game #300, are…
There are about 90 essential oils, all with numerous benefits. Among the four we’re looking at today, CEDARWOOD helps with focus, LAVENDER relieves stress, and EUCALYPTUS helps with congestion. In other words, if you’re stuck on Strands, try untangling them with some essential oils.
Meanwhile, PATCHOULI was popular in the hippie era to cover the smell of smoke and alcohol – and, no doubt, went without washing for a couple of days. It also repels mosquitoes and is beneficial for dry skin.
Interestingly, King Tutankhamun was buried in his golden royal tomb accompanied by 10 liters of patchouli. He had unpleasant habits or very dry skin.
