Strands is the latest NYT word game after the likes WordleSpelling Bee and Connections – and it’s a lot of fun. It can be tricky, though, so read on for my Strands suggestions.

The classic ingredients (although you may want to add some water/stock) to chicken soup – or any soup for that matter – make up today’s Strands.
Soup is the perfect January meal – it’s really simple to make, as once you have your basic ingredients loaded, you’re virtually there and no matter what you put in the pot, it feels much healthier than anything else what you ate in december.
The problem is, no matter how good a soup is, it rarely feels like enough and I can never resist the temptation to top it off with a sandwich…or two sandwiches. But maybe it’s because I’m British, we’re a bit obsessed with sandwiches.
