In an effort to expand its user base in India, Reddit updated its machine translation feature to support the automatic translation of the posts and comments to Hindi.
“With this expansion, the authentic, more content that appears on people is now available in one of the most sided Indian languages,” a company wrote in an update of blog. Reddit said he would also add support to Bengali soon.
Reddit started testing the machine translation feature throughout the place last May, starting with French. In September, the company launched a feature in more than 35 countries and added support to Spanish and Portuguese.
Earlier this month, the company introduced its search feature, answers to AI, users in India, Australia, Canada, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore and the UK, the feature was only available to a limited number of English language users in the US in the US in the US
