Reusable rocket startup Stoke raised another massive round: $260M

Y Combinator alum Stoke Space just raised series C worth 260 million dollarswhich raised a total of 480 million dollars. This follows $100 million raised in October 2023 and $75 million in December 2021.

The company was founded in 2019 by Blue Origin veterans Andy Lapsa and Tom Feldman, who began his career as an intern at SpaceX. Stoke attended the YC 2021 winter cohort.

The space startup has an ambitious goal of building the first reusable rocket, which means both a booster and a second stage. Last month he shared a video of Fr successful test of its first stage rocket engine. The money will help it build new facilities at the historic Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.

Investors in this latest round include Breakthrough Energy Ventures, Glade Brook Capital Partners, Industrious Ventures, Point72 Ventures, Seven Seven Six, Y Combinator and several others.
