In October, total watch time for Fox Weather coverage increased by +662% year-over-year. October 9 was the network’s best day in prime time, with 994.8 million minutes streaming across its cable and FAST channels.
Meanwhile, coverage of Milton and Helene accounted for 9 of the first 10 days for Fox Weather’s stream, and increased audience on the network’s website, which saw a +167% increase in views of page year by year.
A viral moment happened during Helene’s coverage of Fox Weather involving an on-air meteorologist. While on location in Atlanta, Bob Van Dillen changed from reporter to hero mode as he rescued a woman trapped in a flooded car.

In less dangerous weather news, both The Weather Channel and Fox Weather both covered April’s solar eclipse, which crossed a significant portion of the continental United States
For almost two hours, footage of the solar eclipse covered the airwaves on both networks — as well as other major broadcast and cable outlets — from the time it entered North America through Mexico around 2:07 p.m. ET until it exited via Maine at approximately 3:35 pm ET.
The Weather Channel recorded 464,000 total viewers and 77,000 A25-54 viewers. for their coverage of the eclipsewhile Fox Weather had its simulcast coverage on Fox News, which netted 2.1 million total viewers and 210,000 demo viewers.
Additionally, viewing time for the Fox Weather stream spiked during the eclipse, increasing +176% over its 30-day average and +414% year over year.

The eclipse began in the lower 48 as a partial solar eclipse began in Eagle Pass, TX.
