Since the phenomenal rise of AI tools after the launch of ChatGPT in 2023, 2025 is shaping up to be a huge year for artificial intelligence. Here are the AI trends I’m most excited about in 2025.
Wider adoption of voice/vision based AI Assistants
With advances in natural language processing (NLP) and computer vision, AI assistants have become more adept at understanding and responding to human commands. AI assistants based on voice and vision have already begun to make their mark on our daily lives, but 2025 will be a breakthrough year for these technologies.
By 2025, we can expect to see these AI assistants seamlessly integrated into various aspects of our lives, transforming how we interact with our devices and environments. We will see a significant expansion in both capabilities and the the adoption of AI assistants based on voice and vision. These assistants will perform more complex tasks, understand nuanced language, and interact with us through visual cues.
The ability to hold coherent, multi-turn conversations it will make AI assistants feel less like tools and more like companions. The possibilities are endless, from recommending content based on our activity history to enabling routines and automation based on our workflows. And beyond voice, computer vision-based AI models add another layer of sophistication. With the growing adoption of Copilot for Microsoft 365 and Gemini in Google Workspace, intelligent AI-powered assistants will become indispensable in the workplace, helping us manage our schedules, set reminders, and prioritize tasks. They can also assist in project management by tracking progress, assigning tasks and providing insights into team performance. Features like real-time language translation, smart meeting planningand context collaboration will make teamwork more effective.

First look at AI and AGI Agents
