The law, the Act to Protect Americans from Adversary Foreign Controlled Applications, requires TikTok’s China-based parent, ByteDance, to sell the application to a US company.
U Supreme Court confirmed the law last Friday, and TikTok went dark in the United States for about 14 hours on Saturday evening into Sunday. The app was later restored Trump promised that he issues the executive order.
