Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina CBS affiliate WNCN has promoted two newsroom staffers.
Reporter Dean Harley was named Capitol Reporter throughout the state and Leslie Nash he was promoted to assistant news director from executive producer.
“During the years that Deana has been at CBS 17, she has proven herself to be a smart, talented and enterprising reporter who knows how to find the story. When the Capitol Bureau position opened up, she jumped at the opportunity .His journalistic instincts along with his legal background are extremely helpful to CBS 17 News and all of our affiliated stations across the state,” said the news director. Harley has worked at CBS 17 News as a reporter and anchor for the past two and a half years.
Nash has been an executive producer at CBS 17 since 2019. Before that, he was a producer and executive producer at WJTV in Jackson, Mississippi.
“I’m thrilled to have Leslie as a partner, helping to oversee CBS 17 News. She’s an incredible leader, an outstanding reporter and well-respected,” Rowles said.
Harley and Nash will begin their new positions on Monday, December 30.
