2024 Was a Bad Year for Sustainability

It’s been a tough year for corporate sustainability, especially in the U.S. While there are positive stories and reasons for hope, the road to a just world and a healthy planet has undoubtedly gotten tougher. In fact, in more than two decades of working in the sustainability field, this is the first time I’ve seen companies publicly announce their abandonment of social goals or climate measures.
