Google announced on Thursday that he introduced new defense with AI drive to help combat fraud on Chrome. The technical giant will start using Gemini NanoHis large language model on the device (LLM), on the desktop to protect users from online fraud. Also triggers new warnings about Chrome on Android AI facility to help users be aware of unwanted notifications.
Google notes that Chrome’s improved way of protecting safe reviews on Chrome offers the highest level of protection, offering users a double protection from identity theft and other internet threats compared to the standard browser protective mode. Now Google will use Gemini Nano to allow users to improve the protection of an additional layer of defense against internet fraud.
Google says that this approach on the device will provide direct insight into risk websites to protect users from fraud, including those they have not seen before.
“Llm Gemini Nano is perfect for this use because of its ability to distillation a variety, complex nature of the website, helping us to adapt to new fraud tactics faster,” Google said in a blog post.
The company already uses this defense with AI drive to protect users from remote technical support requests. Google plans to expand this defense to Android devices and more types of fraud in the future.

As for new AI drive warnings, Google notes that the risk of scammy websites can be expanded outside the site via notification if you enable them. Malicious websites can use notifications to try to deceive you, which is why Chrome will now help you be aware of malicious, unwanted or misleading notices on Android.
Now that Chrome’s machine learning model on the device indicates a notice as perhaps fraud, you will get a warning. You can select or log out for a subscription or view the blocked content. If you think the warning is shown wrong, you can allow all future notifications from that page.
