No matter the occasion, having someone accidentally mess with your TV settings is unforgivable. Luckily, your TV has an option to lock everything from settings to channels and more.
How to Lock Settings on your Sony TV
To close your Sony TV settings, it is buried in its system settings:
Open the TV menu or, alternatively, press the button The house button
Choose Settings > Preferences or, alternatively, System.
You want to highlight any parameter related to closing the picture, such as Locking image adjustments.
If you need to use a pin, make sure you write it down somewhere safe and sound.
How to Lock Settings on your Hisense TV
Some Hisense TVs have a simple parental lock, while others allow you to lock individual functions, such as a Hisense smart TV.
open Settings or less TV.
Go to System and choose System PIN. Be sure to enter your pin!
Toggle Locks.
From there, you can pick and choose the settings you want to lock.
How to lock settings on your Philips TV
Philips TVs lock settings a little differently. Depending on your model, to lock the settings, you have to activate the Child Lock function:
Open the menu of the television and select Features o Settings.
Choose Baby lock and enter a new PIN.
Enter the PIN again to confirm, and you’re on your way.
In addition, you can go further and specify age restrictions if, say, you want to limit certain channels because of nieces, nephews and children in general. Anyone at or below the specified age will be accessible.
How to Lock Settings on your LG TV
Like Philips, if you are trying to lock the settings of your LG TV, your best bet is to use the Control Lock feature.
On your remote, press the button Settings button It’s the little cog icon. If you don’t have one, press the button Less o The house button instead.
Now, choose All parameters. It will be the three vertical points.
Depending on the model of your LG TV, select General > System > Security o General > Security.
Go ahead and enable Security and set a four-digit password. As a bonus, some LG TVs allow you to block specific features, such as apps, channels and programs. While you’re at it, you can turn off LG screensaver ads Also, if your model has.
How to Lock Settings on your TCL TV
For you TCL TV owners, you can lock the settings via the Front Panel Lock and Child Lock functions, both of which are in the TV menu:
open Settings or access the main menu of the TV.
Choose System.
Select Lock and enter a password.
Depending on your model, you may have one or more of the following features: channel lock, parental rating, input lock, T-button lock, and channel scan lock.
If you have not seen your TV brand, then my advice is to dive into the settings of your television. Not all TVs have the option to lock your settings, but looking in the menu for parental controls is a good place to start. Short of that being an option, try hiding the remote control or controlling the TV yourself.
